Maosheng XIONG

Research interest

Prof. Maosheng Xiong’s research interests are on information theory and coding theory, especially in channel coding related to the study and design of error-correcting codes, both in the classical and quantum settings.

Biography

Prof. Maosheng Xiong received his PhD in Mathematics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2007. He held a post-doctoral position at Pennsylvania State University from August 2007 to June 2010 before joining the Department of Mathematics, The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, where he is currently an Associate Professor.
